A.K.A. The Truth, also known as David Akanonu, is a rapper and singer-songwriter from Buffalo, NY. He is Nigerian but was raised in the US and born in Detroit, then grew up in Brooklyn and Buffalo, NY. During his time in NY he developed his own unique sound.

A.K.A. The Truth makes music for the love of the music not the result and advocates for self-confidence and finding your truest self. He encourages all that support and follows him, the "Truth gang,” to stay true to themselves and stand firm in the face of adversity.
