Introduction
Welcome to WNY Biz Board, an online directory for businesses and nonprofits in Western New York and the Finger Lakes. By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service.
User Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and must notify us of any unauthorized use.
User Responsibilities
You agree not to engage in any illegal, abusive, or disruptive behavior that could harm other users or the functionality of the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided for your business listing.
Permitted Listings
Organizations can be listed in the WNY Biz Board directory if they:
- Operate a business or nonprofit headquartered in Western New York or the Finger Lakes.
- Run a blog or page positively promoting Western New York and/or the Finger Lakes.
Prohibited Listings
WNY Biz Board does not accept listings from the following:
- Adult Content and Services - Adult entertainment services, including but not limited to, escort services, adult films, and adult toy stores.
- Illegal Substances - Businesses involved in the sale, distribution, or promotion of illegal drugs or related paraphernalia.
- Gambling Online gambling services and any other forms of gambling not explicitly authorized by law.
- Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) - MLM schemes or pyramid schemes.
- Weapons and Firearms - Businesses selling firearms, ammunition, or other weapons.
- Counterfeit and Pirated Goods - Any business involved in the sale of counterfeit products or pirated media.
- Hate Speech and Discrimination - Businesses that promote violence, hate speech, or discrimination against any individual or group based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or ethnicity.
- Illicit and Unregulated Financial Services - Businesses involved in unregulated or illicit financial activities, including but not limited to, payday loans and high-interest lending.
- Health Claims: Businesses making unverified or exaggerated health claims, including miracle cures, weight loss products, or non-FDA approved supplements.
- Unlicensed Businesses: Businesses that require a license to operate but do not possess a valid license.
- Other Illegal Activities - Any other businesses engaging in activities that are illegal under local, state, or federal laws.
WNY Biz Board reserves the right to reject any listing submission deemed inappropriate or not in line with our standards and values.
Listing Plan Payments
Payments for listing plans are made automatically every month. If payment fails and is not updated within fifteen days, the listing will be taken down until the plan is successfully renewed.
Listing Cancellation
You can cancel your listing anytime via our customer portal, but all listings (including spam and listings not approved for legal purposes) are non-refundable.
News and Promotions
By adding a listing to our directory, organizations allow WNY Biz Board to share any news, events, and promotions that they post on their social media handles or website. We are not responsible for any misinformation provided by organizations.
Termination of Service
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access without prior notice if your business activities violate our terms, involve illegal practices, or disrupt the service’s functionality.
No Refunds
Refunds are not offered for any reason, including service termination.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
All content on our platform, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the intellectual property of WNY Biz Board or its licensors. Users are prohibited from reproducing, distributing, or using this content without explicit permission.
Limitation of Liability
WNY Biz Board is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our service. Use of our service is at your own risk.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state of New York. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New York.
